This class is for those who are new to Yoga or have had a break and need to reinsure their practice. It’s a great way to refresh the basics, reconnect with the body and breathe and learn not to get caught up in the minds dramas. Physical postures, breath-work, philosophy and deep relaxation will be explored throughout the class. Such simple practices can assist those with insomnia, stress and worry, body aches and pains and a helps bring a general sense of well-being. Just because it says beginners, don’t think it will be really easy. Sometimes learning the basics is the hardest thing to do. You always have the option to work at your own pace.

These classes will expect from you some prior knowledge of Yoga asana, meaning that the basic qualities of each posture may not be as big a focus. You will explore all the fabulous variations and stronger postures and breath work within the class. These classes are not for the beginner or those with injuries (you are better to develop your beginners postures first before attempting these classes). You will learn more about inversions in these classes, like head, hand, forearm and shoulder stands. Often the general classes may have a flow/vinyasana aspect as a warm up. For all round good health and the development of your practice, come and enjoy.
The general flow classes are designed for those with experience who wish to develop their aerobic capacity and increase strength, balance and flexibility. Each class will begin with warm-up exercises before diving into the flow. You will have the opportunity to develop arm, leg and core strength and get a little more hot and sweaty. These types of flow classes are generally detoxifying for the body and mind, but they are more challenging. Come and see for yourself and watch how deeply you relax towards the end of class.

Thursdays 10 - 11.30am
This class with allow you plenty of time to experience and enjoy gentle calming movements, long stretches, deep relaxation and calming meditation practices. This is a very nourishing class for those wishing to boost their energy levels, personal insights, ability to remain calm under pressure and to assist the body to recover from fatigue, stress, anxiety and attain a more balanced state of being.
